The walls of this 78 mile (126 km) wide crater rise almost 5500 yards (5000 m) above the partially lava-flooded and therefore very flat crater ground. In the west, the crater wall is interrupted by the 27 mile (43 km) wide crater Tralles, which formed in later times.
