The Straight Wall (Rupes Recta) is a 75 mile (120 km) long fault whose slope has an inclination between 30 and 45°. Its width is between 1100 yards and 1640 yards (1000 and 1500 m), its height is about 380 yards (350 m). Even if the fault remains unobservable in binoculars, its shadow may be seen on the eight day old moon as a thin line. The visibility depends strongly on the position of the Sun.
