The „Sea of Storms“ is a more than 72,000 square mile (2,000,000 square kilometers) large plain, which has no clear edges and is dotted with craters. It is the largest mare on the Moon. Just after full Moon, it is the most striking surface feature and easily visible to the naked eye.
