The „Sea of Tranquility“ is an irregularly shaped lowland, which is connected to the south by the Bay of Roughness (Sinus Asperitatis) with the Mare Nectaris. It covers 405 × 560 miles (650 × 900 km). On July 19th, 1969 the first manned lunar mission landed in the southwest of the Sea of Tranquility. But even the largest telescopes can‘t show the remains at the landing site of Apollo 11.
